Ramadhan, a blessed month for Muslims throughout the world. Not only fast but as Muslim, we do certain things that we don’t usually do out of Ramadan especially in a country like Indonesia where the majority are Muslim.

Shalat taraweeh, that is we call it for doing pray together at the mosque after maghrib and isya during ramadhan. Buying/making ta’jil, meal/food that usually prepared to complete the main course before we eat the main food when we break the fast. Commemoration of Nuzulul Quran, a day for remembering the revelation the Holy Quran to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), some people usually tadarus/read Quran at the mosque. I’tikaf, stay at the mosque to do some ibadah in the night of lailatul qadr. Bukber ( a short from Buka bareng), it means eating the food to breakfasting together when adzan maghrib comes, besides family, it can be performed with relatives, neighbours, or even friends. Mudik tradition, some Indonesians will do this when the days toward Iedl fitr gets closer. It is like going back to hometown to meet and celebrate  Iedl fitr with family especially for those who work out of the town.

Those are performed only in Ramadhan except for reading Qur'an, we can read it at any time. But now due to the corona viruses which have been appearing since February affect almost all life aspect including religion. We are supposed to practice religious things only at home, no more praying together at the mosque, during lockdown even to celebrate Iedl fitr, no visiting relatives’ house. We here used to enjoy Ramadhan together with our beloved people happily so that is why we feel dramatically sad just because to stay at home.

Sometimes I confuse about viewing this issue, I believe the virus will not exist without God’s will. To prevent the spread of the viruses, many countries apply a lockdown system including Indonesia. It affect people’s economy mainly people who rely on daily income, such as food seller, vendor, bus driver, online driver, etc. The worst is a piece of a bad news about a woman who died because of starving during quarantine. She was assumed for no having food stock in the house.

Yes, corona virus is more than just a dangerous virus that not only infect human’s health system but also the economic system. Your days can also be dreadful with boredom, no income, no food, and no internet data, you will need it even #WorkFromHome to access the internet where everything does in online ways.

Alright.. Alright.. I am sorry; I am not supposed to say the only negative side of corona virus issue. But is there a positive side of it?

We have to realize how weak we are when it comes to face super tiny creature like virus that can weaken our body, just remember everything can happen if Allah will it to happen.

I don’t know if lockdown system is applied in all countries across the world. If this lockdown is done perfectly, it will at least give the earth time to break and breathe for a while. As we know human activity heavily affect environment around us, let the earth where we take shelter cure and restore environmental condition after what human being have done to it. It probably allows animal and plant freely move and grow without human distraction.

I think the lockdown system is a proper way as an effort to prevent the spread of viruses and prevent more people from virus infection. But the government should give a solution for people who caused by this after they are stopped from their work, many don’t have monthly income, and they don’t work for a corporation, so they depend on daily income, meanwhile, some companies are loss and they should lay off their employees. So the government is not only asking people to stay at home, social distancing, physical distancing, prohibit outdoor activity or whatever it named but also the government must guarantee and facilitate people's necessity.

We should welcome and enjoy the Ramadhan that full of blessings joyfully. But on the other side, we think so many things to survive.
